Bryony Fripp Illustration is the data controller and I am responsible for your personal data.

This privacy notice provides you with details of how I collect and process your personal data through your use of this site including any information you may provide through this site when you purchase a product or service, sign up to my newsletter or take part in a competition.

Personal information I collect: If you are not happy with any aspect of how I collect and use your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues (www.ico.org.uk). I would be grateful if you would contact me first if you do have a complaint so that I can try to resolve it for you.

Sensitive data: I do not collect any Sensitive Data about you. Sensitive data refers to data that includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data. I do not collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

Where I am required to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of the contract between me and you do not provide me with that data when requested, I may not be able to perform the contract (for example, to deliver goods or services to you). If you don’t provide me with the requested data, I may have to cancel a product or service you have ordered but if I do, I will notify you at the time.

Personal info obtained from other sources: If you sign up to my mailing list you will use a Third Party. This third party is Mailchimp. Your name and email address is stored on their servers. Using Mailchimp reports on email I can see statistics on how emails are opened, and what has been clicked on using industry standard technologies. To see how Mailchimp handle your data please read their privacy policy. I will not use the information you submit to be used for the mailing list for any other reason than to send emails about new products, to send emails containing discount codes that can be used on the website. 

When you make a purchase on the website I obtain limited information about your payment card from my payment processor, such as the last four digits, the country of issuance and the expiration date. Currently, the payment processor on this website is Stripe. Stripe uses and processes your complete payment information in accordance with Stripes privacy policy.

How I collect your personal data: I collect data about you through a variety of different methods including:

  • Direct interactions: You may provide data by filling in forms on my site (or otherwise) or by communicating with me by post, phone, email or otherwise, including when you:

  • order my products or services;

  • subscribe to my service or publications;

  • request resources or marketing be sent to you;

  • enter a competition, prize draw, promotion or survey; or

  • give me feedback.

  • Automated technologies or interactions: As you use my site, I may automatically collect Technical Data about your equipment, browsing actions and usage patterns. I collect this data by using cookies, server logs and similar technologies. I may also receive Technical Data about you if you visit other websites that use my cookies. How I use your data: I use the Order Information that I collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, I use this Order Information to:

  • Communicate with you;

  • Screen my orders for potential risk or fraud; and

  • When in line with the preferences you have shared with me, provide you with information or advertising relating to my products or services.

I use the Device Information that I collect to help me screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimise my Site (for example, by generating analytics about how my customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

I share personal information in the following ways:

  • Service providers. My third parites are Mailchimp, Stripe, and Squarespace. When you sign up to the mailing list my service providers perform services on my behalf. For example, I may use third parties to help send marketing and other communications on my behalf or assist with data storage. Stripe is used to take payments and Squarespace hosts this website.

  • Process payments. I transmit your personal information via an encrypted connection to my payment processor which is Stripe.

  • Following the law or protecting rights and interests. I disclose your personal information if I determine that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with the law, protect my or others’ rights, property or interests (such as enforcing my Terms of Service) or prevent fraud or abuse of Bryony Fripp Illustration. In particular, I may disclose your personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, such as to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

  • If I want to use your information in any other way you will be asked beforehand.

  • I do not sell or give your information to any third parties.

Marketing communications: You will receive marketing communications from me if you have:

  • requested information from me or purchased goods or services from me; or

  • if you provided me with your details and ticked the box at the point of entry of your details for me to send you marketing communications; and

  • in each case, you have not opted out of receiving that marketing.

I will get your express opt-in consent before I share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.

Your rights and choices for receiving marketing emails: You can choose to receive promotional and marketing emails from Bryony Fripp Illustration. You can do this by choosing to opt in to my newsletter on my sign-up form on the website. You can choose not to receive these emails later by choosing to unsubscribe from any received newsletters OR by emailing me at bryony@bryonyfripp.com at any time.

Where you opt out of receiving my marketing communications, this will not apply to personal data provided to me as a result of a product/service purchase, warranty registration, product/service experience or other transactions.

Data retention: When you place an order through the Site, I will maintain your Order Information for my records unless and until you ask me to delete this information.

Location of data:

The data that Bryony Fripp Illustration collects from you is stored within the European Union. And is in compliance with the new GDPR laws, coming into effect from 25th May 2018.

I collect and process the following data:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on this website. This includes information provided at the time of registering with Bryony Fripp Illustration, ordering products, posting material or requesting information or further services. Bryony Fripp Illustration may also ask you for information when you enter a competition and if you report a problem with the website.

  • If you contact Bryony Fripp Illustration, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

  • Details of your visits to the website including traffic data, location data, and other communication data.

I may collect information about your computer, including your IP address, operating system and browser type, this data is used for website administration. This is statistical data about my users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify you.

Age of consent: By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

How I use security to protect your data: All data you provide to Bryony Fripp Illustration is stored on my secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted. Once I have received data from you, Bryony Fripp Illustration uses certain procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access. To protect your personal information, I take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

Sending information on the internet is not completely secure. Although Bryony Fripp Illustration does its best to protect your personal data, I cannot guarantee the security of the data transmitted to the website. Any transmission is at your own risk. Unless Bryony Fripp llustration has been negligent, I am not liable for any loss arising from a breach of security.

How do I withdraw my consent? You may withdraw the consent at any time by unsubscribing or sending an email to bryony@bryonyfripp.com, stating your name, company details and/or any other information, as in line with the Withdrawal of Consent procedure within the parameters of the GDPR documentation.
